Busy Week-end…

UPDATED:  My daughter’s friend called me and told me that Tara is in the hospital.  She had an asthma attack that could not be controlled with her medications and 911 had to be called.  They were administering oxygen and taking her to the emergency room…She will be spending the night (as per a second phone call)…and they will be taking chest x-rays, etc.  This happened last year and she was in the hospital for a week with pneumonia.  I’m worried – cause she is so far away – in Phoenix.

I am feeling like I have actually accomplished a bunch of stuff yesterday and today…

1)  Went through 6 boxes (the kind that hold a case of paper) that were filled with paperback books…gave away two boxes full…have five boxes full ready for the garage sale next Saturday.  And what doesn’t sell is going to the library for their annual sale (Romance novels fly over there!)

2)  Went through Mom’s closet and took out 4 boxes (U-Haul Music Album Boxes) of LPs – (for those of you who don’t know what those are – they are 33-1/3 long playing records – I can’t believe that there are people who have no clue what those are!)  They were the boxes that covered the floor of the closet!  And, they will be being picked up tomorrow by someone who will appreciate them.

3)  Finished all the laundry in the house…it wasn’t that much – 4 loads (whites, clothes, linens, and Killian’s blankies) – but, it is all done…

4)  Gave Scarlett and Elizabeth the black dishes that Scarlett and I had split…decided that it was time to use the “GOOD” stuff…and pulled out my china from the “hopeless chest” – and am using it as my daily china.  Just can’t put it in the microwave cause it has gold on it!  I have had that china since I was 18 – so that is 45 years and it has only been used maybe 10 times for Christmas or Thanksgiving.  Isn’t that silly – how we don’t use the “good stuff”!  What are we waiting for???

5)  And, I actually spent time at quilting – cut a bunch of fabric that I had sitting there to be cut for three different projects!

Am really motivated now!!!

Have a good week-end…
