My Treat to Me…

Less than a mile from my house lives a wonderful potter.  Jarvis Pottery – and she had a sale last week-end.  I decided to go and see what she had.  Of course, I bought something.

This sweet bowl is the perfect size for ice cream, cereal, or soup.

Then I bought this beautiful casserole dish.  I just didn’t have anything big enough to cook things like Shepherd’s Pie, etc.

But, this was my favorite piece…It is beautiful…and I will be using it to serve a huge salad or to let dough rise when I make bread.

Here is another shot of the special bowl.  (Can you believe I got all three pieces for under $35.00?)

All of these are oven and dishwasher (if I had one) safe!  I really love having nice pottery that is hand made and Jarvis Pottery is such a nice place to shop.

Under $35 each not under $35 total, right?

VERY nice ceramics. I also bought a couple of things recently very inexpensively, too. (Sugar bowl, coffee cup, vases, etc.) Seeing your new acquisitions makes me want to get a whole new set of mixed dishes and bowls.
Mmmm, did you mention ICE CREAM…?

Aren’t they beautiful! And all made by hand, by a craftsman, not by a machine in a factory somewhere. Love the casserole dish, it is gorgeous.
