Where in the world was I…

Maybe this will give you a hint…

I’m standing in front of Tuscany – a wonderful restaurant at the Mohegan Sun!  That is an entire wall of water – it is a beautiful waterfall.

Actually, I took a bus trip with the Senior Center for a day of fun at the beautiful Mohegan Sun.  It is in Connecticut – approximately three hours away from home (one way).  I was up at 5:00 am to meet the bus at my local Wal-Mart parking lot at 6:00 am.

The trip cost $42.00 – but, they gave me the following:

$15.00 meal voucher, 3 – $5.00 tickets for the big wheel (which I did not win on), and a $10.00 free play in the slot machines.  I played on that $10.00 until 3:30 in the afternoon…when I kicked in $10.00 of my own.  So essentially the trip cost me around $25.00 out of pocket…

The first thing I did was head for Krispy Kream doughnuts – I haven’t had a Krispy Kream doughnut since I left Tennessee!  And, it was so good!

The casino is beautiful…as you can tell by the photos that I took while wandering around.

Lunch was at Margaritaville – and I wish I could say it was good – but, it wasn’t!

Walked up to the hotel lobby:  Just so pretty…

I’ve added the following seating area to my Christmas wish list – I think it would look awesome in my apartment…

Took some photos of Bobby Flay’s Bar American – but, they didn’t turn out very well…

So, I had a nice day – it wasn’t expensive.  But, it was long and tiring…but, I’m glad I went!

That must have been a long day but sounds like it was fun….except for the lunch. That curly sculpture that you’re standing in front of looks interesting. What is it made of?

I’ve heard it’s pretty nice there. I’m glad you had a nice time but sorry the lunch was disappointing.

But were the drinks good at Margaritaville? I’ve always shied away from these places, probably for political reasons, but I can see how it would be a blast with a few friends.

That was a great deal but yes, a loooooonggggg day. Too bad the lunch was disappointing and even too badder that you didn’t hit the jackpot. Ah! There’s always tomorrow. Nice pictures.

Sounds like a lot of fun and a beautiful place too. I ate at a Margaritaville in Florida and found that the food wasn’t so hot either. And I love Jimm Buffet and his music so I thought it would be fun and good food.
