The Heat Goes On…

Never did I think I would see 101 degrees in New Hampshire…I mean this is New England!

The weather is all anyone can talk about…

The last couple of days, I’ve had a bug – my tummy has been upset but, hopefully it is over.

Starting to decide what knitting projects will be worked on while I am on vacation!!!  I’ll let you know what I figure out…

Killian and I are staying cool!

Hotter than …

The weather is sweltering!  That’s the only term I can think of to use.  Did not leave the house today – except to run out to the car to get something out of it…and the humidity just smacked me in the face!  It felt like 100 degrees out there today…according to WMUR news!

Did I tell you that I reached a score 0f 257 on the WII bowling?  That’s a pretty good score!

Still working on the apartment…

Busy day…

I’ve been busy today working on getting my apartment unpacked and set up the way I want it…it has taken me a while – but at least I’m working on it…

Ran to the library today; the Dollar Tree – needed a table-cloth for my trip and I didn’t have a small plastic cutting board; and the bank.

Killian has been such a sweet boy!  He is hovering lately – I think he thinks we are moving again…or something…but, he is staying rather close.

Tomorrow and Friday I am not planning on leaving the house – they are saying we are going to be having dangerously high temperatures…am glad Mom is in a safe air-conditioned facility…and that I also have some air-conditioning.

Ten On Tuesday…

Summer means the beach … and beach music.

Southern folk tend to like Carolina beach music – music you can Shag to…Then there is what I call California beach music…And, then there is Key West Beach Music.  So here is what I like for beach music: (it’s a real mix!)

Ten Favorite Beach Songs

1)  60 Minute Man – Billy Ward and The Dominos

2)  Dancin’, Shaggin’ On the Boulevard – Alabama

3)  Under the Boardwalk – The Drifters

4)  Stay – Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs

5)  Stagger Lee – Lloyd Price (great Shag song – became a bigger hit when it was in the movie “Shag”)

6)  California Girls – The Beach Boys

7)  Sea Cruise – Frankie Ford

8)  Margaritaville – Jimmy Buffett

9)  Cheeseburger in Paradise – Jimmy Buffett

10)  When the Sun Goes Down – Kenny Chesney

Any of these your favorites???

Killian, Again…

Guess who…Mom is in bed and I’m playing with her laptop!  It’s so cool…

Anyway, Mom was working in her storage closet today pulling totes in and out and arranging things – and suddenly she said “Oh – and a bad word that I’m not allowed to say – seems she might have pulled some muscles – cause she’s all curled up with the warm pads on her back reading a book…

I think she will see you tomorrow!

Sunday Concert…

Tonight several of the women here in my building invited me to go with them to the concert over in Newport, New Hampshire.  I haven’t been to an outdoor concert in a while.

The music was excellent – oldies (the songs I know the words to).  It was great fun!

The food was really good too – had a hot dog, popcorn, and fried dough which was totally awesome.  It was the thinnest fried dough I’ve ever had – and I put some cinnamon sugar on top of it…Yummy!

Now it is off to bed to read!!!  Reading Three-Legged Horse by Ann Hood…She is one of my favorite authors!

It’s a Hoot…

Seriously, it is!

The fabric is called It’s a Hoot and it is by Moda…

And, I won 8 half yards of this lovely fabric from Sheree’s Alchemy.  I love the fabric – and have plans for it!  Can’t say – cause people read my blog…and I want it to be a surprise!!!
