New Hampshire Tragedy…

In Greenland, New Hampshire, about 6:30 PM, five police officers were shot while serving a warrant…One officer is dead and four others are injured.

The shooter and a woman are still holed up in the house.

Neighbors are having to hunker down in a safe place and others who had not arrived home before this happened are not being allowed to go home.

This comes just a week or two after another officer was shot. He survived and is doing well.

Kind of makes you wonder how this kind of thing can happen…How do people have no respect for human life and think that the way out of everything is with a gun???

Please keep the officers and their families in your thoughts and prayers – it is a very sad day for New Hampshire.

UPDATE:  The officer who was killed was Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney – he was set to retire on April 20th.

How horrible — I don’t get it people have no respect at all — we live about an 1 1/2 from Chicago and we listen to WGN Radio and today they said 125 people have been shot to death so far this year – last year at this time is was 75 people – these numbers just seem outrageous to me – it is a very scary time we live in. We live in a small country town with about 4000 people, one of our neighbors who is a part time police officer responded to a domestic call and was thrown down a flight of staird by a WOMAN! I just don’t get it.
I will keep the officers in my prayers. You take care

I saw this story on the news at work and was positively sick over it. It must be devastating for his family and I will keep them in my prayers.
