This week …

Hopefully, the town of Greenland and the State of New Hampshire citizens will be able to get back to life as it was before the Chief of Police was killed.  Well, maybe not quite to the way it was – but close.  This week brought such sadness to all of our citizens.

Today marked the funeral for Chief Maloney.  Leading the procession which was over a mile long were 300 motorcycle police officers … Speeches were many and from both civic leaders and family…

It was a heart-wrenching week here – even though it wasn’t my town or my police chief – it spoke to all of us as to how easily life can slip away – and how much goes on the line when one choses a life of service and protection of others.  We should all be thankful for those who serve as police and fire personnel.

Rest in Peace, Chief…

May the family and friends be comforted by their memories of that dedicated public servant. We have both seen how tragic murder can be this past week….and how so many lives can be changed in an instant because of it. Sometimes I think the world is going mad……

Sending good thoughts your way, Sara…..early last month a police officer was killed here, leaving a wife and young children, just while doing his job. It shouldn’t be a dangerous job, but too often it is.
